Join a 300 km adventure across the Arctic with 180 skilled sled dogs, a few experts and an unlikely crew of everyday folks who were selected to be part of the 2025 Fjallraven Polar Expedition – including Sam Hartman, the wildly talented Art Director of this very Journal.

The Arctic has a way of humbling you. Out there, the wind doesn’t care what you’ve achieved, the snow doesn’t care where you’re from, and the dogs…they only care that you show up fully. Every day and as part of their team.

When I was chosen for Fjällräven Polar, I thought I was preparing for a trip. What I didn’t realize was that I was stepping into a lesson in surrender, trust, and gratitude that would stay long after the last dog howl echoed into the night sky.
